Wet Overflow Ball Mill (Hydrostatic Bearing)
The Xinhai wet overflow ball mill with hydrostatic bearing grinds ore in secondary or tertiary wet milling circuits. It operates in closed circuit with classifiers, discharging slurry for downstream processing. The overflow design retains coarse particles until ground fine enough.
Technical parameters
Hydrostatic bearings lift the mill on a pressurized oil film. This eliminates metal contact during start-up and running, reducing wear and maintenance. The mill sits between crushing and separation stages, paired with hydrocyclones.
The model table lists standard configurations, identified by codes such as MQY40□ to MQY48□. Each row shows drum diameter, length, effective volume, and main motor power. These dimensions grow progressively with model number. Larger sizes suit higher-throughput circuits, but the appropriate selection depends on ore grindability and required product size. The hydrostatic bearing design is common to all models.

Standard-model catalogue figures. Actual capacity, power draw and wear life shift with ore properties, feed gradation and circuit conditions. Use them to shortlist, then confirm the duty by testwork, flowsheet calculation and a written confirmation from the manufacturer.
What decides the selection
Before fixing a model, confirm feed size, target product P80, ore Bond work index, and required throughput. Determine if the circuit is open or closed and whether the mill operates in series. Specify liner material, grinding media, and bearing lubrication needs. Test data matches a mill from the table to the duty.

- Throughput
- Number of grinding stages
- Liner and grinding media selection
