Grinding Equipment
Raymond Mill
The Raymond mill is a pendulum-type ring-roll mill that grinds dry, non-metallic and brittle minerals to a fine powder. It sits between a crusher and a classifier in the comminution circuit, receiving a crushed feed and delivering sized product.
Technical parameters
Xinhai offers models that vary primarily in grinding roller and ring dimensions. An internal air classifier continuously removes fines and returns coarse material, allowing closed-circuit operation without extra equipment.
The model designation encodes the number of grinding rollers and the roller and ring dimensions. As these increase, the mill accommodates larger feed sizes and higher throughput. Comparing the roller diameter, ring outer diameter, and installed motor powers helps narrow the choice to a machine that matches the required capacity and product fineness.
| Model | Grinding Roller Diameter (mm) | Outer Diameter of Grinding Ring (mm) | Height of Grinding Roller and Ring (mm) | Maximum Feed Size (mm) | Finished Product Size (Mesh) | Production Capacity (t/h) | Central Shaft Rotation Speed (r/min) | Main Motor Power (kW) | Fan Motor Power (kW) | Analyzer Motor Power (kW) |

Standard-model catalogue figures. Actual capacity, power draw and wear life shift with ore properties, feed gradation and circuit conditions. Use them to shortlist, then confirm the duty by testwork, flowsheet calculation and a written confirmation from the manufacturer.
What decides the selection
Before selecting a Raymond mill, define the feed particle size distribution, target product mesh, required throughput, and the Bond Work Index or grindability of the ore. The moisture content and abrasiveness of the feed also influence the choice, as sticky or highly abrasive materials may demand adjustments to the mill configuration or upstream preparation steps.
