Technical parameters

Stacked trays and a common rake mechanism pack multiple washing stages into one vessel. Wash water and pulp flow in opposite directions across the decks. The compact arrangement saves plant space and pipework compared to separate single-deck thickeners.

Settling area and processing capacity scale with these variables, letting engineers match the machine to wash water rate and solids throughput. The multi-layer design means a smaller diameter may still deliver the required washing area, an advantage for constrained sites.
