Linear Vibrating Screen

The linear vibrating screen uses a straight-line motion to convey and stratify feed. It is placed after crushers or mills to size material, dewater or deslime.

Technical parameters

Unlike a circular screen, the linear throw is suited to fine cuts and dewatering. It operates near-horizontal and screen panels are chosen to match the duty.

Models in the table scale screening area, power and weight to meet different throughputs and product sizes. Larger units suit bulk classification in grinding circuits, while compact models fit plant sections where feed rates are moderate. The naming pattern, such as DZS0412, indicates the nominal width and length of the screen deck.

Standard-model catalogue figures. Actual capacity, power draw and wear life shift with ore properties, feed gradation and circuit conditions. Use them to shortlist, then confirm the duty by testwork, flowsheet calculation and a written confirmation from the manufacturer.

What decides the selection

Before selecting a model, define the feed particle size distribution, target cut point, required tonnage per hour, and whether the screen must also dewater. Material moisture, clay content and abrasiveness influence the choice of screen panel and vibration amplitude. Pilot tests reduce risk when feed contains much near-size or sticky material.
