Spiral Chute

The Xinhai spiral chute uses a helical trough and fluid film to separate fine minerals by density. Feed slurry enters the top and flows down under gravity. Heavy particles collect near the centre; light gangue moves to the outer edge. No moving parts are required.

Technical parameters

It is typically installed after grinding and classification, ahead of final cleaning. Unlike jigs or shaking tables, it runs continuously with low water and power demand.

The table shows diameter, pitch, and head count for each model. Larger diameters handle higher throughput and coarser feed. More heads increase capacity within the same footprint. The pitch affects slope and residence time, which fine-tunes the cut point. Ensure your feed size and concentration fall within the listed limits.

What decides the selection

Before selecting a spiral chute, establish your feed particle size distribution and the density difference between valuable mineral and gangue. Determine the mass flow and slurry concentration from upstream grinding and classification. Decide whether the unit will serve as a rougher, cleaner, or scavenger. Measure the available vertical space against the spiral height. These inputs fix the model diameter, pitch, and head count.
