6-S Shaking Table
The 6-S shaking table separates minerals by density using a reciprocating, riffled deck and wash water. Lighter gangue washes over the riffles while heavier particles move to the concentrate end.
Technical parameters
In a gravity circuit, it treats classified feed after grinding. It commonly upgrades pre-concentrates from jigs or spirals for tin, tungsten, gold, and similar fine ores.
The specification table lists thirteen models across four widths. The primary variable is the beneficiation area of the bed surface, which determines the treatment capacity for a given ore. Select a model by matching the required feed tonnage to the bed area, noting that finer feeds and lower density differences require larger surface area per ton.

Standard-model catalogue figures. Actual capacity, power draw and wear life shift with ore properties, feed gradation and circuit conditions. Use them to shortlist, then confirm the duty by testwork, flowsheet calculation and a written confirmation from the manufacturer.
What decides the selection
Before fixing a table model, define the particle size distribution, feed pulp density, and density difference between the target mineral and gangue. The ore's liberation size and desired throughput set the bed area. Testwork on a representative sample confirms whether a single table can achieve the required grade and recovery at acceptable throughput.
