Xinhai's steel powder silo stores dry bulk powders and provides a process buffer between grinding and drying. It receives material from mill circuits, dust collectors, and pneumatic systems, then discharges reliably to downstream equipment. The vertical cylindrical shell with a conical hopper promotes mass flow for consistent withdrawal.
Technical parameters
Installed after comminution or drying, the silo decouples continuous and batch operations. It accepts product from conveyors, bucket elevators, or air slides, and feeds bagging stations, bulk loaders, or slurry mixing tanks. Correct sizing maintains plant throughput during upstream or downstream stoppages.
The model table lists ten size variants identified by a code like FKC4500×5000, which reflects the silo diameter and height. Dimensions, volume, and weight all scale together. Selection starts with the required live volume and the bulk density of the material, then checks hopper angle and outlet size to prevent ratholing and ensure reliable discharge.

What decides the selection
Before choosing a model, define the net storage volume needed, material flow properties (angle of repose, cohesive strength), and discharge rate. Confirm discharge aids like bin activators or air pads if the powder is cohesive. Integrate the silo with upstream feeding and downstream reclaim equipment, and verify floor loading, foundation design, and dust collection requirements.
